Genus: Psilorhynchus McClelland
Small size, body cylindrical, depressed anteriorly, compressed posteriorly and flattened ventrally. Paired fins inserted horizontally, 8 simple pectoral fin rays. Lateral line scales 40 – 43. Barbels absent.
Diagnosis: Distinguished from all its congeners listed above by the absence of scales on the ventral surfaces.
Distribution: Karmaling, Sheti bagar (Dagana)
Altitude: 125 – 160 MASL
