During a two-week program, experts from Joosen-Luyckx Aqua Bio in Belgium visited the centers at Haa and Harachhu in Bhutan. Their visit aimed to assess the existing facilities and sturgeon stock to provide recommendations for strengthening the development of sturgeon farming in the country.

During their visit, the experts evaluated the mature females, observed the facilities and provided valuable recommendations for improving infrastructure, species selection and staff capacity building. Overall, their visit was crucial in helping to upscale the sturgeon farming in Bhutan.
